Simple Invoices - Forum

We have Simple Invoices installed and working.
It performs all the basic functions that we need.

The issue getting in the way is - the 3 roles.
* Administrator
* User
* Viewer

But the only available role is Administrator.
I created a New User "John" without selecting Administrator.
John does not show up in the list of Users.
But John is in the database, as verified by phpMyAdmin.
Yet, I cannot login as John.

We have cashiers who are seasonal, temporary, part time, etc.
Giving them access to all the "Settings" would be a problem.

Any suggestions on how we deal with this?

This is the same on my new set-up, yet the on-screen help clearly mentions 3 roles: Administrator, User and Viewer.

I thought about adding the other roles to the database table 'si_user_role', however as far as I can see there is no field for user access level, unless this is hard-coded.

Hi Kwal,

To my knowledge that functionality is not yet available. The different user roles are there, but don't actually do anything at this point. Maybe Justin can shed any light on how far away that is?

Any progress on this, I'm also only seeing the Administrator as the only available role for a user.

hey guys,

i am new user of SI and this is great app :) Maybe one thing I will appriciate in the future and this is the other roles, which were described in the beginig of this thread.
