I made a post in December on "Add extra item in Invoice" http://www.simpleinvoices.org/forum/discussion/2123/add-extra-item-in-invoice/#Item_1 but haven't received any response.
In the meantime I have been playing with the code in the Invoice template namley the invoice.tpl file and kinda got the results using the description file for entering a date per line. I wanted to add a new field by including a field date but I couldn't get this right so I used the existing filed description.
I think I should have created a template or extension instead of editing the existing files. I am not sure how to use the extensions or templates, can someone please point me in the right direction.\
