Inventory - Adding - Unsorted List
  • Gavin+ColesGavin Coles January 20

When I add a stock item using 'New inventory movement' the products are listed not in alphabetical order but in the order a product line was created (I hope that makes sense). Is there a way to reorder the list so it appears alphabetically?

The default view is by date

You can click on the 'product' title to re-arrange the view to be alphabetical
(actually I think you need to click twice - first for reverse alphabetical and then again for alphabetical

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for the feedback, however... I do not think I explained the problem well enough. I have uploaded a couple of screen-shots at the following location:

The first shot shows the 'listings' page you talk about where you can re-order any of the columns, while the second shot is the page where you add a new inventory movement. The drop down menu on the 'adding' page is the listing that is not in alphabetic order but in date added order.

I have tried reordering the 'listings' page alphabetically and then going in to the 'adding' page in the hope it would retain the order but it does not. There is I am sure a bit of the backend code that could be altered to permanently reorder the drop down menu it just I am not a coding guru. If someone can point me in the right direction I can have a go or rope in a couple of friends who are more adept at coding than I am.
