ability to bill for materials
  • January 1970 Edit

    Hello,

I have the need to be able to bill my clients for materials that have been purchased for a project.

The fee will vary from project to project, and may occur multiple times.

Is there a way to enter a cost on an invoice?

How are other people doing this currently?

in the next release of Simple Invoices you'll be able to add more items to an existing itemised or consulting invoice via edit
    - but this assumes theres a product in the product table that you can add

    Cheers

    Justin,

    Thanks for reply.

What you are suggesting would be an improvement, but still a problem.

For some of my jobs I bill time and materials, so if I am building a boat the material list can and would be extensive. I need to be able to have a product "materials" or something else were I can enter a variable price.

Then in I could expand what the materials were for by providing a description. Not necessarily itemizing each individual item.

This is typically presented to the purchaser with the invoice or invoices for the materials.

    Thanks

    George
