Simple Invoices - Forum

most likely is that Simple Invoices cant connect to the db

check config/config.php and make sure that database information is correct

Hi Justin,

I have that fixed... db was all ok but i had edited more than need be in the config file.
I have come across a few other problems.
Firstly i have installed everything and followed all instructions however i can't export to PDF it exports nothing... a blank PDF .... also word document is all over the place and has no formatting.
The other issue is when i click on New invoice - Consulting it says that there are no Billers, Customers and no Invoice Pref's the others work fine but that one does not?
I am also unable to add a biller, it says that there was some problem. I can't edit the ones there either so i have been manually editing it in the database using MySql.

Any ideas on these probs?

- does the demo paeg work where you can attempt to pdf google.com?

re Add Biller - That did not sole the problem.

re pdf - Demo works fine

re New invoice - consulting - The others work fine

Details:

Server: Linux Apache/1.3.39
PHP: 5.2.0
MySql: 5.0.27-standard

question: did you change the db_prefix in config.php?

re word document
- yep - the export is very basic - theres no special formatting for word etc - it just dumps html in a .doc file and lets word sort it out

re pdf
- only thing i can think of is some permissions issues
- try chmod -Rv 777 * in the simple invoices dir
-- yes i know thats a security issue - just want to see if it works
